TASTING NOTES: At first sight, the wine embodies its namesake, with a dark and lustrous color. From there, the wine takes flight, with an aroma of layered fruit and spice. A full bodied wine, touching softly on the palate then giving way to the flavors of black cherry, currant and clove, with a hint of pepper on the finish. A wine with a maturity well beyond its age.
